cyclogest to prevent miscarriages

I have had 4 miscarriages and am now 8wks pregnant. Today I have been prescribed Cyclogest and aspirin to prevent another miscarriage- has anyone used this before and it work?

Lots of us on the fresh start thread in pregnancy have been on cyclogest. I’m on my 6th pregnancy, after 5 losses and have been on a massive dose of cyclogest plus aspirin, clexane and steroids at the beginning. I don’t have a diagnosis for the losses but started on a high dose by my RMC consultant which was increased even higher after a bleed at 9 weeks.

The research on progesterone for preventing miscarriage is very patchy and I don’t know which of my meds has done the trick this time. I’ve been on cyclogest in previous pregnancies and still gone on to mc but this was a higher dose.
