Hi, I'm new to mumsnet but really could do with some advise! I'm currently pregnant with baby no4. Last period 22/12/18. I have a regular 31 day cycle. Positive test 24/01/19.
Had a slight bleed on 26/01/19, so went for a private scan, she couldn't see a sac so sent us to hospital. They took base hcg level and progesterone levels. Hcg 78 - prog-7.2.
They basically have been taking every 2/3 days since then and I am today 5 hcg- 1853 and prog- 44.6! But they still can't see sac in the womb & said my tubes/ovaries all look fine! They are now talking about doing a surgery to look closer at my tubes or a injection to remove pregnancy! I'm in no pain, I have no bleeding or signs of ectopic!
I don't know what to do, has anyone else had anything similar happen to them?

Hi OP. I'm sorry you're going through this. I can't offer any advice but just wanted to offer a handhold until someone more knowledgeable comes along. It sounds like it must be scary for you. Thanks

I think if I was in your situation and having no pain or bleeding I would want to wait a bit longer (say 5-7 days) and have another scan before considering surgery. I would want to avoid surgery if possible. An hCG of 1800 is still not that high.

Thank you both. They have booked me in for hcg levels and a scan at the end of the week now so will let you know what happens. Fingers crossed
