Brittle nails?

I'm ten and a half weeks and this past week my nails have been peeling off in layers...
It makes my skin crawl.
Any ideas on how to remedy it?

Its totally hormonal sadly, so I never found a remedy for it. I tried really massaging hand cream into my nails after washing my hands but it didn't make much difference. It did improve in the third trimester though!

Interestingly for me, I have had 2 pregnancies and the state of my nails was literally the only difference in symptoms between the 2 (with my first my nails were awesome, with my second they were horrendous) and each was a different sex so I'm not sure if its an indicator of that?!
