Bleeding at 5 weeks?

Hi I'm new here, but I'm at my wits end so any advise or stories welcome..

I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks 3 days, took 5 tests including the digital ones , all positive.
I started a brown discharge yesterday, though now today (5 weeks) it has turned a red/brown colour and is a bit heavier not enough to fill a pad but enough to come out when I'm peeing or wiping.
I went to the doctors today, she gave me an exam and she said my cervix was closed and high up, but some blood around it.
I have an early scan next Monday when I'm 6 weeks. I have had two successful pregnancies before and never had a miscarriage before.
I just don't know, has anyone experience this??
I also took another test this morning whilst I was bleeding at bit and still a big positive but i think it does take a while for hormones to leave your body.

Thank you for your time reading my post Smile

You'll just have to wait until your scan I'm afraid. Its the only way to know even though the temptation is to Google everything! (I know because this is me!) You'll hear positive and negative stories from people with similar bleeding patterns. FWIW I had a positive test a good few days after I had surgery for a miscarriage last year, so it can take a long time for the hormone levels to drop.

I have tried googling everything all day, everyone is different. Thank you for your reply, I hope you figure out too!

I had a miscarriage last January at about 5 weeks and mine started out as littlw bit of pink blood on the toilet paper when id been for a wee one night. The next morning I was still bleeding a bit so went to hospital, by which time the bleeding was heavier and I had stomach pain, it was basically a period.

I was checked out at the hospital and told it was a "threatened miscarriage" and my hp levels were taken, they had to be 1000 before I had a scan, mine was 75. The bleeding got worse as well so it was pretty obvious what was happening.

Fingers crossed for you, especially if the bleeding isn't getting worse. X

Even if it does turn out to be the worst, it does not mean you won't get pregnant again, you've been pregnant twice before so chances are you'll carry to full term again.

Personally, I was heartbroken and was terrified id never have another child.
I'm now 5 weeks off giving birth to my 2nd child.

Early miscarriages are natures way of losing a baby that isn't healthy and would never survive xx
