Hi Everyone!
We had our 20 week scan on Friday and found out we’re having a little boy! We couldn’t be happier.
We have now however been referred for a more detailed scan. His long bones (arms and legs) were measuring 18 weeks while everything else including his feet were measuring 20 weeks. The sonographer wasn’t worried and neither was my midwife but I’m just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience?
They said we would be seen within 5 days so I’m hoping I get a phone call today to let me know when my appointment is!
Thanks in advance for advice/stories 💙

Just to add! I’m only 5ft myself and my partner is 5ft10 but has short legs and a long body. They did comment that it’s more than likely just my genetics and he’s probably just going to be little. Am I worrying for nothing? 🙈

No experience myself, but i do know somebody who had a similar problem with the legs measuring smaller than they should have been throughout the pregnancy, i dont know the exact details of how far behind they measured etc. The mum is very small herself (under 5ft) and he was born with absolutely no problems just small in the correct proportions, he's just not ever going to be very tall :)
Hopefully it will all be good news for you x

Apparently DS's thigh bone was not in proportion and was too short. He's 18m now and actually very tall! Must have come from my dad as DH and I are short arses average height. He was a rather chubby baby though so that might be why his proportions looked off. We had absolutely no problems
