Swollen Hands - should I worry?

Hi all,
I'm 24+3 and for the last week have been suffering from swollen hands, worse at night but also sometimes in the day. Means wearing my wedding rings is really uncomfortable.

I have a midwife appt next week - can it wait until then or is this more urgent and I should get hold of her this week do you think?

I'd give her a ring, then she can make the decision.

Hi, I’m 28 weeks and my rings are tight too. I think I had to stop wearing them at about this point in my last pregnancy.

It’s worth a call to your midwife if you are worried about it. Are you swollen anywhere else?

I personally would go sooner just to get blood pressure checked. It's probably nothing as some women experience swelling whereas others don't but no harm in giving the midwife a call and seeing what they say.

I’m 25+1 and my fingers swell when I’m warm. They come and go several times throughout the day.

Have had my wee tested for protein plenty of times and it’s always come back fine.

I’ve not been able to wear my wedding ring since about 33/34 weeks and my engagement ring is on and off depending on my finger size. I think for me, it varies by diet, how much I’ve been doing that day etc. My blood pressure has always been low and I’ve never had any protein in my urine so for me it is just normal. For others, swelling might be a sign of a problem and you’re quite early still so it wouldn’t hurt to ask if you need to be seen earlier than your current appointment.
