Labour? Unsure

Hi, so I'm sorry I've posted a lot recently...
Today I am 39+2, I've had I'd say more movement from baby than normal, I am getting lots of pressure really low down and my stomach keeps going hard but only seems to be around baby, who is currently to the right so the left side is still a little squishy when the rest is hard.. when I am standing I constantly feel like I need to urinate and when I go to the toilet when I wipe the front is fine but the back always seems to have a little smear to it.
I've not been able to time them yet as I'm a little up and down going to the toilet every two seconds. I'm just going to have a bath and see what happens if the pressure and tightening continue or not and will try and get to grips with the timings of the tightness and the rest period in between.
Anyone have anything like this close to due date? Is it potentially labour or am I just getting my hopes up/also scaring myself that it might be time.
TIA lovely people!

Sounds like Braxton Hicks but then I never had them so I couldn't tell you how hey felt for me. Do you know if baby is Back to Back or not?

My contractions went across my whole stomach and down my legs once I was a lot closer to giving birth. I also threw up from the pain.

He smear could be the start of your plug coming away but even that doesn't guarantee labour being close.

Good luck!

We are all so different but my experience of early labour were weird tightening pains just above my pubic bone and when I stood up I just felt like a watermelon was going to fly out of me. Very strange sensation!

Oh and I couldn’t stop farting, but you really don’t want to know about that!

It sounds like baby is preparing to get moving. If you're not in labour now, I'd be surprised if it didn't start over the next few days.
Fx for you xx

They do sound like braxton-hicks.

I couldn't walk without getting them towards the end of mine. They lasted for about the last month of each, getting more and more towards the end.

Fx here too! Exciting times!

could be anything. I honestly think go to bed because you need all the rest you can whenever you can labour, which is usually exhausting, and newborn, which is always exhausting.

can... before... labour (love MN no edit button ) Hmm :)

I'm 40*2 and had all these symptoms for weeks, obviously if you're worried about anything get checked but sounds like BH and baby engaging

Thanks ladies, I've have BH through the last two months or so but they haven't felt like this - hence my worry/fear.
Thanks for your responses
