Hey ladies

Any recommendations for foods / drinks / oils to help induce labour naturally 37 weeks + ?

I’ve got the following I’m aiming for ...

Dates (to help the labour process)
Evening primrose oil
Pineapple
Raspberry leaf tea
Bouncing ball
Increase walk (been in a lot of pain will try to get back to yoga and increase walk as much as possible)

What else have you tried / worked for you?

Thanks so much

A hot curry apparently!

Clary sage in the bath, reflexology :-)

@ShabbyAbby I love hot food and have hot sauce on stuff most days but cutting back a little due to episodes of heartburn & mild reflux etc but hot sauce & food on good days!

Have DP say that the baby can come on a certain day when he's got something he wants/needs to do out of the way e.g. baby can come on Friday because I'll have finished training on Thursday

Granted I'm not sure there's any evidence to back this method up but it seemed to work. Grin

Sex is suppose to work. Most babies come at 41 weeks so you may just have to wait until the baby is ready (runs and hides from heavily pregnant lady).

Haha @olderthanyouthink could work 🤷🏾‍♀️

@Jackshouse I’m not sure it’ll be with me at 41 weeks as I’ve had reduced movement and talks of inducing should I have more episodes between now and next appointment 4th March however midwife said from 37 weeks can start trying whatever I want as it’s considered full term 🙏🏾

Nipple stimulation is also said to work.

Nightlights · 17/02/2019 19:53

Worked for me, I went into labour the morning after I had it done. But I was also doing the clary sage and I'd done some nipple stimulation too using a breast pump. I think if you're ready to go these things can work but if you're not ready they probably don't do much! I was overdue

Yeah I know what you mean. No harm in helping it along though 😂 Thanks!
