Paracetamol to treat symptoms in early pregnancy

Hello, I've just found out I'm pregnant (only 4 weeks so very early) but having awful migraines and lower back pain. I have seen conflicting advice around whether it's safe to take paracetamol or not and wondered what your views were? My previous pregnancy failed at 6 weeks so I'm being overly cautious possibly but don't want to do anything to jeopardise it. However the pain is quite bad so if it's safe, I do want to take even 1 tablet before bed tonight so I can get some sleep. Thanks in advance

I'm 18 weeks however spoke to my midwife about 2 weeks ago about taking paracetamol and she said there is no problem with taking 2 every 6 hours so surely 1 before bed wont do any harm!!
Congratulations 💕

Paracetamol is generally accepted to be safe to take during pregnancy. I empathise, I've been taking it daily due to headaches and migraines since having to stop my preventative medication when I found out I was pregnant.

You're fine with paracetamol. I had quite a few throughout my pregnancy and had my baby a few weeks ago and she's perfect.

Congratulations xx
