Hiya I came off the pill one the 11th Jan thinking it would take a while to concieve Confused convinced my partner that I should come off it a few months before we wanted to start trying as it would take a while for the pill to get out of my system. Well I got a faint line on a Sainsburys test yesterday and an obvious one this afternoon on a first response, Shock I did get a negative sainsburys test last Tuesday though. How far along would I be should a date from my withdrawal bleed. Thank you

You should date from first day of withdrawal bleed as that’s what your midwife will do until a scan says otherwise.

Date from withdrawal but likely you’ll be moved back a week or two (since it wasn’t really day 1 of your cycle and your body probably took an extra week or two to ovulate). Also with when you got positive results I doubt you are 6 weeks, probably more like 4 - 4 and a half.
I was the same and got pregnant straight after the pill, I think I ovulated something like 3 max 4 weeks in, rather than on day 14.

I did think that id be a week or so behind as got a BFN on Tuesday but BFP yesterday. Thank you :). I just hope everything goes ok now as found out a few weeks later with my daughter.. still in shock it happens so quick Smile

@Yorkshiremummy88, when did your withdrawal bleed happen in relation to stopping taking the pill on January 11th?

If, say, it was 5 days later on the 16th January then you would be dating 4 weeks now and that would probably fit with not getting a bfp on Tuesday (when you might have only been 9dpo) but would have got one yesterday at 14dpo.

It also depends on which pregnancy test you use as they have different sensitivities - FRER are really quite sensitive whereas CB digital really aren’t in comparison!!

Thanks for your reply @Rememberallball I had my bleed on the 15th Jan, I did get a very faint positive on Friday too but was so faint I didn't believe it. I'm a little annoyed as spent £10 on a CB digital for it to come up with an error message 🙄, guess I'm just too excited to know when baby will be due x
