Hiya all!

Im Lisa and on my third pregnancy currently 31 weeks. I am carrying another big bubs, growth scan estimated 5lbs 4oz at 29 weeks and bump is quite low.
My problem is with my hips and groin area. I am in constant dull pain and whenever I change position the pain is excruciating. It was mostly in my left side which I counteracted by limping but when I stood up the other day it felt as though my other side was worse than the left.
I told my midwife and she advised rest which is easier said than done when you have other children.
Does anyone know of a tubigrip or support belt available to ease the pain?
Thanks

Yes Tubigrip or support belt will be available for free from your local Physiotherapy Department

It might or might not help!

The best bet is to wear the tubigrip in bed and the support belt during the day. Your midwife should be able to provide them

get your mw to refer yuo to physio asap, i had this at 29 -32 weeks and it settled magically with wearing the belt and following the physio advice within a week, im now 38 weeks and its never come back and that is with a heavy 18 month old to lift, i was in agony and if someone had offered me a zimmer frame i would have shamelessly used it

Thanks Ladies,

Been to a different midwife this morning and she has reffered me for physio so hopefully all should be well soon

Lol at Rosylizzie, I have been bent double over the trolley when shopping so know what you mean about even being prepared to accept a zimmer. Couple that with the fact my craving is for car and bath sponges, I must look ready to be committed .

Picture me limping round Asda, bent in half, randomly placing stuff in trolley as pain makes it impossible to think through what I came in for while occasionally sniffing a big yellow sponge(discretely-obviously lol)

Thanks again
Lisa
