I can see the umbilical cord and the top of a leg - you can’t see anything else from a profile view.

Well this study disagrees - appears to be highly accurate by 13 weeks.

I can see cord and leg. Decent goatee though.

That’s a nub, and the closer to or past 13 weeks you are the more accurate it is. That is a boy nub.

We thought this with ours but the sonograoher was very clear it was umbilical cord.....
