So last night I lost my mucus plug. Today I had midwife. Theyconfirmed shes 1/5 engaged and 4/5 palpable. I assume this means she practically ready to arrive?!?! I’m 36+5. No labour signs in the last 24hours since losing plug. Do you think she’s coming soon? I’m booked in for a GA LSCS at 39 weeks! Think she’s going to hold out 2 weeks or arrive in the next few days?! Argh, freaking out lol xx

Unfortunately I don't think you can predict from that. I am 40+6 and baby has been engaged (at least 2/5) for about 5 weeks! The plug can be a sign things are starting but equally it can be several weeks. Hopefully she holds out a bit for you (assuming that's what you want!).

Yeah I guess there is no hard fast rule for it! I don’t know Haa, of course I want her to be warm and safe and grow a little more but also have th most horrendous SPD and on crutches so would be happy for her to arrive now ha x

Fingers crossed it's a sign something is coming sooner then!

I was 1/5 engaged at 34 weeks. Been having loads of labour signs since 36 weeks but no baby yet. I’m now overdue so your baby may come early or on time or not 🤷‍♀️ Just one of those things unfortunately

I was 2/5 engaged at my last appointment but the midwife said with a second baby this it irrelevant as they can drift up and down even right at the end. Once a first baby engages they tend to stay that way, but second babies don’t!
