Sonographer slip up?

Soooo 35 weeks and having growth scans and today’s scan sonographer referred to baby’s sex and then ‘baby’ and then the sex again 😂

Anyone had this happen and the sex of baby be what the sonographer referred to or vice verse?

Thanks!

We do tend to say “he” without even looking to see what it is, it’s harder to see at 35 weeks what it is anyway so I expect they just called it that as it’s the one that comes out naturally to them (i.e I only have ds’s and to say she just doesn’t roll off the tip of my tongue as he does

It's really hard to tell the gender at 35 weeks so doubt the sonographer used the pronoun knowing the gender... would be weird to call baby 'it'. I wouldn't expect it to be correct - good luck!! :)

I thought that too but she said ‘she’ Grin but I won’t get my hopes up just incase it’s wrong! Long as baby is healthy. Told hubby but didn’t tell him what she said so as to keep it a surprise still as she could still be wrong anyway 🤷🏾‍♀️

Sonogropher may have a daughter so will naturally revert to "she". We knew DS was a boy from 15 weeks but one of the sonogropher doing a routine growth scan around the 30 week mark said "she" when looking at his skull, so had not attempted to look at his genitals.

So bad though shouldn’t really do that

This thread made me think back to when our sonographer asked if we wanted to know the sex, we said no and he said "well you might want to look away now, the baby isn't shy". I was convinced it was a boy... super shocked to deliver an 11lb 1oz girl!

Haha oh gosh love it

We had to have a LOT of scans, baby was always male or female (we didn’t want to know) DH laughed that DC would come out very confused. On our last scan sonogrpher kept saying HE, 2 hours later DD was born via EMCS
