I'm 5 +5 weeks pregnant and have just been to the toilet and have noticed and spotting quite heavy bright red blood. Ive had ivf and I know bleeding can be common but I'm really worried something is wrong, ive got sharp cramps on one side as well, should I call my go? Although I'm not sure what they will be able to do?

Hi, sorry to hear this is happening. I'd call the GP or fertility team if you've just had ivf. Hopefully it's nothing serious, but it's worth speaking to someone to see what they recommend. They may want to check for risk of ectopic pregnancy. X

IVF is a risk factor for ectopic and it can be life-threatening. You need to get checked out. Hopefully it's nothing but you need to be sure.
