Fatigue in second trimester!!

Hi everyone
I’m in my 16th week and find the fatigue hasn’t disappeared! I fell asleep in work the other day - woke up dribbling down one side of my face minutes before a colleague entered my office!
I seem to wake up really early too - usually if I need a wee and find it impossible to go back to sleep. If I’m on a day off (shift work) I’ll have a nap in the day but at work I find myself falling asleep at my desk! Any suggestions?? I go to bed fairly early but I fear if I went to bed any earlier I’d start waking at 4am 😧

Sorry I can't help but I am in a similar boat. I have to get up at 5am every morning and honestly would happily be in bed asleep at 8pm every night if I didn't actually want to have a life outside of work. I thought I'd get a buzz and be all lively by this stage (23+4) but no. I'm trying to stick to my regular routine in the week but then sleep and rest more at the weekends. It's not easy though and tiredness makes me cranky so I'm in a foul mood most days.

I was similar this time round I’m afraid (and got really pissed off when people talked about the second trimester being easy). I did find I had a burst of energy from 27-34 weeks where I was feeling like a normal human being if that gives you any hope.

I’m still in first trimester and have been joking that pregnancy prepares you for life with kids because it makes you temporarily become a child!

Need naps, wake up early to watch cartoons and eat coco pops, today you love a certain food tomorrow you hate it... grumpy and tetchy !

I think legally if some arsehole says Oh but the second trimester is easier! when you are struggling with your second trimester you are allowed kick them in the shins and say your foot slipped.

I'm 26 weeks and still knackered too, I've fallen asleep in the bath, in the cinema and regularly on the sofa at night haha.

I think I've only had 2 days where I've felt pretty good, the rest I'm just constantly shattered and feeling sick.

I was fine with my first so can only guess each pregnancy is different. Fingers crossed we all get some energy back soon!!

Yes, much more tired than last time and have to nap every day to get through it.21 weeks and counting.

I'm 19+3 now and it was only from around 18 weeks that I got my energy back. Up until that point I was exhausted still and wondering if I was ever going to get that 2nd trimester glow. Feel so much better now - hopefully yours will kick in soon!
