Hello!

I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant with my first child (other halves second). It was a complete shock to us as we've not been together very long and don't live together yet, although we have plans to move in soon. I was told a few years ago my hormone levels were odd, and that I may have trouble to get pregnant so it's a complete shock, but we're very pleased!

I don't have many friends that have had children, so I have no idea if what I'm feeling is normal, but in the last week I've found I'm completely shattered, I'm often sick a few times a day and have constant heartburn. I have a very busy job and I often feel like I could fall asleep at my desk! Any advice would be appriciated!

Get a pregnancy book or two so you get an idea of what to expect when. It's very well documented that you will probably be the most exhausted during the first trimester. Some might get come back in the third. Heartburn for s common too.

Also have a look at the antenatal clubs board- there is a due in October thread you can join, which is brilliant for swapping tales of symptom woe, and "is it normal" questions.
