Just would like some reassurance or honest experiences with this please. I went for my first scan (early scan as I'm impatient)
I should be 6 weeks pregnant at least as that's from the date of my last menstrual period. I had to have a vaginal scan as my bladder wasn't full. I was told my uterus looked like a good size and there was a yolk sac which the woman said looked healthy but she said there was no fetal pole seen yet and said I must only be about 4-5 weeks hence no baby seen but I know I'm definitely at least 6 weeks. She said she scans some people and the yolk sacs don't look promising and said mine looks healthy but that I must be mixed up on my dates but I know I'm not and it's really worrying me. She has booked me in for a rescan for in a few weeks time to see how it's progressing and the way she spoke sounded promising so I left feeling really positive but the more I think about it and look into it, the more I'm getting worried that somethings not right. Has anyone else had this experience?

With a similar scan and dates things didn’t turn out well for me I’m afraid.

I assume to be 4 weeks rather than six you would’ve had to have had a positive HPT when you were ovulating.

I really hope things end differently for you Flowers

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that. I got my first positive 2 weeks after I ovulated, I took a test the week before the positive which was negative. I'm just hoping everything turns out okay it's such a stressful thing to not know what's really happening in there. Thanks for your reply x

Update for anyone reading this post later with similar to my experience on an earlier scan. I had my 8 week scan and the baby is healthy and has a healthy heartbeat.

6 week scan
