Nursing bras

So I'm due in 8 weeks and I was wondering what size to get my nursing bras in. Before pregnancy I was a 34C and obviously my boobs have gotten bigger. Do I still get a 34C in a nursing bra or do I get a bigger size? I guess what I'm asking is are nursing bra sizes bigger or the same size as normal bras?

Well they certainly seem to start at a larger baseline, Lizbiz. I got laughed out of the shop at 38 weeks pregnant, for trying to buy a 32A nursing bra. I never put on any further weight, so had to just buy an ordinary bra. The manufacturers don’t seem to cater for petite eight stone mothers, unless things have changed since my day!

Your size now will not be the same as your nursing bra size - advice from bravissimo was to 'allow an extra fistful of room' but my boobs went insane & went to a JJ Sad

My advice would be to get a couple of cheapies in maybe 34E (?) to tide you over, then plan a trip out once they've settled to get properly fitted. I loved my hot milk bra but it was £££

babdoc I don't think they cater anyone! I had the choice of one 30JJ bra.

FWIW you can buy bra clips off eBay & convert your own which is what I ended up doing.

Your size will change all day every day while you're nursing - can you get away with one of the crop top/soft stretchy type styles until your supply is more settled? Nothing worse than an uncomfortable bra!

Thanks for the advise. I've bought some stretchy bras from amazon with soft fabric. Does anyone recommend H&M bras?

I bought some I'm Debenhams - a little pricey but good quality and comfy. They do S,M,L instead of normal sizes as there's a lot of give in them. I'm a 32C normally and I bought the small. Got a little tight when my boobs were really full, but most of the time they were very comfy.
