Does anyone have any recommendations?

I am really missing my Alpha H Liquid Gold and Pixi Glow Tonic, neither I believe are safe to use during pregnancy.

Iv used my pixi all the way through... if you read one of Caroline Hirons blogs she touches the subject of acids during pregnancy x

What is the reason for that? Is it just because the skin is more sensitive? I've been using Paula's Choice every few days with out any problems.

@kmreeve really? I thought Pixi Glow Tonic was not safe for pregnancy?

I'm searching her blog now but can't find the post you're referring to.

@ParadiseLaundry you are meant to avoid retinols, vit A and other things (sorry - I don't know them all) but I thought my 2 favourite toners were not to be used. I'm hoping to find alternatives, or better yet - to discover they are in fact safe to use!

I’m still using Pixi Glow Tonic every 2-3 days, I’ve done lots of googling and AHAs appear to be safe.

Have you tried the 7 Skins method? Great for hydration, I highly recommend giving it a go.

Relieved to read the responses to your post as I’ve been using Pixi Glow tonic! (Only since Christmas though).
I’d stopped using my retinol and avoided vitamin A but hadn’t thought to google acids!
Am using a Vitamin C cream (Indeed Labs) instead of a retinol but will go and google that now..
(Also using Alpha H Balancing cleanser- no acids in that).

I used Biologique Recherche P50 throughout my pregnancy with no ill effects. Skin can be more sensitive to the sun during pregnancy, but as long as you use a good SPF I don't think there's an issue.

I have been using my Pixi Glow Tonic but stopped using La Belle Lune Serum. As PP said, Caroline Hirons has mentioned acids during pregnancy.

Everything I can find (after googling!) says glycolic acid is fine to use during pregnancy. Anecdotally, although my acid toners have been fine when I'm using them every few days, my skin has been drier and my benzoyl peroxide has been making my skin a bit sore and red.
