I am 8 weeks pregnant and just can't be bothered to do anything! I am up very early for my work I am up from half 3 in the morning and then don't really stop till 7 but recently I just can't seem to do all the things I normally do I normally go work then come home take my little one to pre school then go gym then go back to work then pick my little one up then go home make dinner get her to bed then go bed myself! But the last couple of weeks I haven't gone gym because I am exhausted and anytime I'm not at work I just seem to collapse on the sofa! I feel sorry for my daughter and just feel like the worst mum! I can't remember having this feeling with my first! Is this normal?

I was extremely tired in early pregnancy, infact that's the only pregnancy symptom I have really had luckily. I'd actually booked a doctors appointment as I thought I was anemic then before the appointment came round I realised I was pregnant and then it all made sense. I had my first child 11 years ago and didn't have the tiredness at all so I think its completely normal to have different symptoms. It is also possible that you may be anemic which is common in pregnancy too. I get up early for work (although not as early as you!) and I was coming home and falling asleep before even putting my son to bed some nights. At about 13/14 weeks it eased up, although pregnancy still makes you more tired than usual so you may find you still can't manage everything that you used to do on a daily basis. Make the most of being able to collapse on the sofa while you can :)

Half 3 in the morning for work ! Wow no wonder your tired , I was useless in the first trimester spent most of it in bed felt like I had flu just take it easy if you can and don’t feel bad x

6+5 here, no other children and on holiday. Some days I’ve not even got up till 3pm and then I’m back in bed by 10pm!! To me that’s usually an achievement!!

I was the same for about 18/19 weeks. It was only when the all day nausea lifted that I had any remote energy.

My toddler ds spent the majority of the first trimester of my pregnancy in front of CBeebies while I was laid on the settee with my head dangling off into a bucket.

Don’t feel guilty - you do what you need to do to cope, whether that’s going to bed at 7pm every night or going to the gym. It’s not forever and it’s not the end of the world.

When I was first pregnant I'd sleep
On the train to work
During lunch
On the train home
Get in eat go to bed
Sleep until my alarm repeat.
2nd child not so tired

I'm just over 6 weeks and I'm shattered all the time. Any opportunity to sit down and close my eyes I will! I sleep from 10pm - 7am and still knackered. I'll eat a meal and suddenly have energy for hour or so. Generally hate the feeling 😔. I've had to tell some people at work as I work in a school and I just can't concentrate by the afternoon. Hope yours passes quick

Pregnancy always just knocks me out. I am constantly drained and exhausted. I appreciate some women will still be at the gym or running 10k and not a bother to them but I am barely able to function. I am 29 weeks now and counting down the weeks. I always feel so much better after the baby is born.

It's hard work being woman 😂😂 the stuff we have to go through is remarkable! Just feel guilty for my daughter but I know it's not forever just can't wait for this bit to pass and I can start to feel abit more human 😂
