Yellow streak on tissue when I wipe - 16 weeks pregnant

Hi ladies,

i’m Looking for some advice/reassurance. When I went to the bathroom to wee this evening the toilet paper was stained yellow when I wiped (darker than my urine). This has happened each time I’ve gone to the bathroom this evening.

This hasn’t happened before. I’m also getting a burning sensation similar to what I would feel before my period. I don’t know if I should be worried. I’m not getting any other symptoms.

On my way home from work today I was crossing the road and a car came speeding towards me and tried to swerve around me which gave me a real fright and I’m worried this could be linked to that ( i know it’s unlikely that this would cause a miscarriage).

Has anyone experienced something similar. Should I be worried and call my midwife?

It just sounds like discharge. Was it (sorry, graphic) stringy? Kind of slimey in appearance? It is totally normal. Your body produces plenty of this yummy stuff all the way through pregnancy

Also burning sensation...you have just started your 2nd trimester so your ligaments will now be changing to make space for baby. Discomfort is normal during this time. I actually screamed from the ligament pain I got. Speak to your MW if concerned though

Dark urine, burning sensation, could be a UTI.
Drink lots of water to try and flush it out.
If your pain continues see a GP, get antibiotics (and tell them you're pregnant so they prescribe the pregnancy safe ones).
