12 weeks pregnant fainting and palpatations

This is my third pregnancy, my other two pregnancies I experienced nothing like this. It's been going on for about a week but has gotten worse. I have an appointment booked for thursday with my GP.

I sleep all day and when I'm not sleeping, im thinking about sleep. I was fatigued during my other two pregnancies but not on this level.

I am extremely pale, like paper. I am very pale naturally but I've got even paler, even doctors ask me if I'm "normally this Colour"

I have low blood pressure (but on the normal-low side) said doctors, this is the case during pregnancy and when not pregnant, it's always been relatively low. I'm dizzy and faint and just want to lay down all the time which of course leads to sleep. I have zero energy.

My heart feels like it's beating ten times as fast all the time and occasionally it feels like it skips a beat and this scares the crap out of me. I can literally feel my heart pump just by resting my arm on my chest. When I "skip a beat" it feels awful and I get a shock feeling.

Today at 6pm I was bathing my children and I turned to reach for a towel and I passed out, I've never fainted before in my life.

My little boy (who is 5) got out of the bath and lifted his 2 year old sister out thankfully. I then woke up a few minutes later with them screaming at me to wake up.

I don't know if to go to a and e or wait for my appointment. Im scared to cook or drive or do anything that could potentially leave myself or the kids in danger.

I think that maybe I'm deffeciant in something maybe iron. Has anyone else experienced this?

I would ask for an emergency appointment tomorrow from your GP. X

Sounds exactly like low iron. Have you had bloods done at your booking in appointment?

I was low iron, low B12 and low in vitamin D, with similar symptoms. I hadn’t been taking my prenatal vitamins due to nausea.

Call for GP appointment in the morning. Fainting is quite common in pregnancy. X

I had palpitations and ended up being admitted through A&E. Pregnancy had exacerbated a pre-existing condition I didn't know I had. They initially thought the most likely cause of the palpitations was a deficiency but blood tests ruled this out.

I really think you should go to A&E to get checked out.

Bless you. This sounds like very bad anemia to me @op (currently 31 weeks pregnant and anemic). I'd see your GP ASAP - it can take a couple of weeks for iron tablets to kick in and also you are really suffering!

I'm 28 weeks and had this since approx 14 weeks, my midwife told me every time I faint I must go to a&e even though they say the same thing every time 'low blood pressure make sure you rest and drink plenty' which I do! Iv been on the sick since November as I am a carer and no use to anyone when I can just faint with no warning!
My midwife has suggested glucose tablets to carry around with me for whenever I feel a little dizzy she said they were a god send to her when she was pregnant as she suffered with this too! I'm going to get some tomorrow and hopefully they will work!
