We are not having a baby shower but as its our first baby/ the first grandchild we are expecting a lot of family to come over and visit (They will most likely bring the baby a gift)

Its usually tradition to give people something sweet when there is a happy occasion (chocolate box, bag of sugar (i have no clue why they give this) Indian sweet box) so I wanted to have something ready. I'm was thinking on giving a pik N mix box of sweets (like the penny sweets) and also wanting to give close family a keepsake to celebrate but I have no clue as to what to give.

I'm thinking the sort of things you give to guest when you have your baby shower. I'm honestly THE most uncreative person in the world and would really appreciate some ideas or if you had/are having a baby shower, what did you give/are planing to give guests?

Hi,

I am pregnant with my second and I have decided not to have a baby shower with this one. Instead I am hosting a Cocktails and Cuddles party in the summer so all my girls that I would have invited for a BS can meet baby and we can have a proper catch up. As i will be providing the booze I won't be giving thank you's other than cards in the post.
I am Indian also but don't do/have time for any of the traditional stuff. Why don't you get little cellophane cones and fill with different sweets with a ribbon the colour of the gender with pre made thank you's with a picture of baby on? You can do these on vista print and they arrive so quickly!! The bags you can buy on ebay for a couple of quid and fill with whatever you like.
