Sore throat/cold remedies

So I used to take Lemsip and nasal decongestants that you sniff to help clear a cold and blocked nose but can't take these while pregnant. Any alternatives that worked for you?

Also got a horrible sore throat yesterday and am doing the salt water rinse and having honey and lemon lozenges but what else can I do to ease the pain?

Thanks in advance

There is nothing effective sadly, you just suffer!
Steam, saline spray, paracetamol. That was it. I thought I was dying wk 5-7 with mine. Hideous!
It will pass.

Chicken soup

Hot orange

Anything that makes a bit of steam will help

Hot water with a slice of lemon and tea spoon of honey helped when I was in a similar situation.

Cherry Drops! For a sore throat, they really do work. And Extra Stong Mints for your nose. It cuts down the amount of "medicated" sweets you get through and are usually a lot cheaper.

Rosehip tea with a spoonful of manuka honey.

I was in the same situation this time last year whilst pregnant. Boiled water with lemon and honey helped me, I hate things like that usually but it wasn't actually too bad. Oh and paracetamol too!
Hope you feel better soon.
