Local anesthetic at dentist at 12 weeks pregnant

Hi,
I'm about 12 and a half weeks pregnant and was given a local anesthetic at the dentist. I was assured that it was fine but after going home and reading up on it I'm terrified that I've harmed my baby. Has anyone had this done and has had a healthy baby or does anyone have any information on this?

Never had a local anaesthetic myself while pregnant as I haven't needed it yet, but my husband is a dentist and assures me it's completely safe! Don't worry about it, as long as your dentist knows you are pregnant he won't do anything unsafe for baby. The local anaesthetic is such a small amount for it to reach the baby or do any harm, don't worry!

Thank you purplemama. That is very reassuring. Thanks for taking the time to ask him and reply to me. That is so helpful to get a second opinion from another dentist. Xxx
