Baby is more active then usual, does this mean labour is imminent?

Hi all,

Im 36 weeks pg and baby has been moving more than usual, when I eat. When I laugh. When I play music... When im trying to sleep. Only thing is I dont think I've been having any BH contractions and my cervix seems very much closed. I really want my baby because each day having to carry the weight of her on my front is doing no justice to other parts of my body. And pregnancy is tiring AF!

What do you think? Could labour be on the cards if baby is more active in the last few weeks of pregnancy?? Sell me your story lol if you have one.

I remember a period where mine suddenly seemed more active, probably around a similar time to you but she was born at 39+4 so it definitely didn’t mean imminent labour for me. If you have any concerns about movement then definitely get checked out.

Good luck for when the time comes!

any change in movement should be investigated. Please call your maternity triage.

Good luck for your impending arrival.
