Hi everyone, after 6 miscarriages we are finally pregnant and have got to 10 weeks which is the longest for us. We want this perfect baby more than life itself but wondered if anyone had any theories about the gender? People have given us lots of opinions but wanted to see what you ladies think...just a bit of fun because regardless of its gender it’ll be loved to the moon and back x

Unless you do a blood test like a Harmony test you can't determine the sex this early. Its not obvious on a scan until 16 weeks

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 09/02/2019 16:15

Do you want us to just guess? Confused

I think boy.

TheSelfishRegina · 09/02/2019 16:36

By comments do you mean 'I bet you just can't carry boys/ girls,?

I had similar comments, I had my daughter then an ectopic then a miscarriage, im now pregnant with my second daughter and ive had comments about my ability to carry boys.

It’s the baby’s sex you find out not their gender 😊 you could do the harmony test to find out the sex? Xx good luck OP

Don't hijack the OPs thread with all the usual sex vs gender chat, they've clearly had a long painful journey to get to this point so let her enjoy it rather than start the mum on mum bashing already.
Congratulations OP! Try googling nub theory for after your 12 weeks scan! Smile

What if the baby is not perfect? Then you won’t want it? Confused

HappyPunky · 10/02/2019 10:51

I don't know how true it is but I've read that male y sperm swims fast and dies quickly and female x sperm hangs around for a while so if you have sex around the time you ovulate you're more likely to have a boy because they reach the egg but if there is more time between they will be dying off and you're more likely to have a girl.

beaveringaways I wasn’t hyjacking at all. I’ve had very a long and painful journey too after a very traumatic ruptured ectopic (were I almost died, years of infertility and a very recent round of ivf which thankfully resulted in a bfp 😊. It just is the sex you find out at scans, that’s just fact 😊

Good luck op fingers crossed everything’s ok 😊
