Hey, just looking for some reassurance. In 2017 I had an mmc at 12 weeks (well baby was 9 but we didn't find out until the 12 week scan). Because of this and the fact I've had a very tiny amount of brown bleeding (I'll attach a pic but might be tmi!) I'm having an early scan on Monday. I'll be 9+4 on Monday but expecting the dates to change a little anyway. Just wondering if anyone knows how common mmc is or if anyone has had bleeding similar that can give me some positive stories. I also have pcos so it's taken us almost 18 months to get pregnant after the MMC with help from Metformin so I'm a nervous wreck! Xxxxx

Hi darling. I had similar brown bleeding at 11 wks. It turned out to be old blood. I too have PCOS as well as fibroids, so totally get your worry. Hope all goes well on Monday for you Flowers

Thank you! I hope you don't mind me asking, how was your pregnancy? I'm terrified and can only imagine it's gonna be another MMC on Monday 😭 xxx

Hey, I’m currently 6 weeks 5 days with my first and also have pcos. I have been having light brown spotting on and off for a week and also pain on the left side only again on and off. I was given an early scan 2 days ago and baby was in the right place and we got to see the heartbeat. Try not to worry yourself too much as brown spotting is often old blood. I do know only too well it’s harder said than done as I still worry when I see it. Have my fingers crossed for you that all is okay Monday x

@kej13 I had bright red fresh blood bleeding at 6 and 8 weeks which was really scary ( mind was more of a heavy gush). I had a scan at the early pregnancy unit and later again at my fertility clinic and all was fine. I’m now 13 weeks, just had my another scan at the hospital and all is well. My understanding is that spotting is more common than you think in early pregnancy and brown spitting is older blood so if there is not much of it I would be less concerned. I know that’s easier said than done though. Hope all is well

I'm so glad everything is going well for you two 💕 logically I keep telling myself it'll be fine this happens so often but because my only other pregnancy ended in MMC and I have pcos I feel really negative about it and I am SO nervous for Monday. DH is really excited and I am dreading it 😐 xxxx

Hello
Your story sounds just like mine. I'm afraid mine didn't work out so well but just try to get to your scan and fingers crossed xx

novasglowx · 09/02/2019 22:51

Brown is old blood, but looking at the pic it could even just be a little bit of discharge, which is totally normal. Fresh red blood is a concern. Fingers crossed for you Thanks

Littleray84 · 09/02/2019 22:57

I had this at both 7 weeks and 9 weeks. Looked very much like your photo. I'm now 21+5 with my baby boy. Had nothing since and there was no explanation for it. I was worried sick at time as I too as I had had a mmc 2 months prior to this pregnancy. Fingers crossed for you hun x

Hi OP, answering your question: my pregnancy was monitored regularly and I was on a low GI diet throughout to keep sugar levels constant. I also had tests for diabetes and fibroids were monitored (sometimes they were mistaken for DD's feet!). I had some niggles along the way but nothing major. DD is now 8 and eating beans on toast :-). Second pregnancy was MC at 5 wks, not due to PCOS but just a "straightforward" one. Good luck and fingers crossed for tom!

SnuggyBuggy · 11/02/2019 09:46

I had a similar bleed at this time which turned out to be a cervical erosion due to hormone changes. Hope you are ok
