Swollen underarms

Hi, just wondering if anyone's experienced similar...

This is the second pregnancy I've had where my underarms are swollen and painful.

It's both sides though one more than the other and it comes up quite quickly. Last pregnancy it disappeared after I had my daughter.

Just wondered if anyone had seen or had this before?

I showed a junior registrar at my doctors surgery yesterday and she wants to send me for an ultrasound which has sent my anxiety through the roof.

Anyone?

Stressing about it now. Assumed it was a pregnancy thing (even if a weird one!)

Could it be a deodorant allergy? I can’t use my usual one right now because of the itching, and have had to switch. Hope it fixes itself when the baby is born!

I didn't have swollen armpits but I did get sore armpits. Apparently all your mammary glands extend into the armpits so they can get sore too as your breasts grow. Perhaps that's it?

I have this with one armpit, and am also pg. I had it in my last pregnancy and they sent me for ultrasound but it was fine. Weird isn’t it!

Yes I have this. Just one armpit for the last 4 weeks. Sore to the touch and swollen, slightly firm in parts. I was going to mention to my OB next week

Yes I had this in my second pregnancy.
Sent in Immediately to a consultant for a check up - day after.
As a pp said as well as very swollen breast the tissues go under your arm pit and they swollen too.
All well. Son 23 now.

Be wary you might continue to get it after the pregnancy too I had thos in my last pregnancy since then my armpits are sensitive swell before heavy periods and i ended up growing my hair and exfoliating regularly changing my deodorant etc just to settle it down

It's not hard swelling but very much like soft tissue so that's good. So bloody sore!

Off for ultrasound tomorrow to have this checked
