Severe backache, newly pregnant! Any hope?

Hi,

I think I’m around 11dpo and I got a BFP yesterday at 10dpo. My period is due tomorrow. I think the lines are really dark which should be reassuring but I have severe lower back pain. I have read that this can be a a sign of miscarriage. I can’t femember having this with my DD but it was a couple of years ago so I can’t remember! I am also panicking that the lines are too dark so there must be something wrong. I’m just wondering if anyone else had severe backache in early pregnancy? I knows there’s nothing I can do but it doesn’t stop me from worrying .

I had terrible back pain in early pregnancy. I suffer with my back anyway but it was much much worse, I couldn’t sit down and get up easily. It was agony for quite a few months on top all the other symptoms. Sometimes couldn’t walk properly. My lines were also very dark. Try not to stress too much.

I get backache in early pg (pg with DC3 at the mo). I have back and muscle issues anyway, but it’s to do with the pregnancy hormones that are released to relax your joints and whatnot to allow for all of the movement of organs and bones and such to accommodate the growing baby (this is my simplistic explanation ).

It is common to have backache early on as a result, I’ve always been asked about it at booking appointments because they can offer physio later in pregnancy if it gets worse (at least that’s what they do in my area).

My back was sore before I even had a BFP. Still is. And my line was so dark it leached the control line. Photo attached.

The little bean is still in there wriggling around. Got to see him her jumping on a scan just the other day and I’m at 11 weeks so relax and try to think positive

Ps as it’s your second it’s probably just the muscles waving the white flag immediately. It’s my second too and I also didn’t remember it from the first time

I had awful backache in the first few weeks of pregnancy. I also thought the worse but I’m 39 weeks now :)

I had some days off work it was that bad.
