HELP I can't stop eating!

One thing I always thought before I got pregnant was that I'd never be one of those that would stuff my face full of food during pregnancy. I was all for the "I'm going to be so healthy and in control when I'm pregnant".

Well. Now I'm 7 weeks 5 days pregnant and I haven't stopped stuffing my face over the last two weeks! I can't stop! If I try and be sensible and have the healthy foods I'm supposed to eat I just feel like I'm going to throw up! Like, I'm physically heaving at my desk in work and I can't have that because no one knows yet...but I can't go on like this because by week 40 I'll be the size of a house!

Any advice on what others have done in my situation would be greatly appreciated, especially if it's worked to keep you from piling on the pounds and also prevented the sickness. Also specific food would be helpfulSmile. No 'have some self control' responses please, I was a strict dieter that kept a healthy weight before becoming pregnant. So far I've gained around 3-4lbs. Blush thanks in advance!

@Wedgiecar58 omg! That is exactly the same as me! I'm 8 weeks now, conceived just after Christmas before new year.

I LOVED melted cheese and pizza and garlic mayo. Garlic mayo is like my ultimate favourite (have checked the labels for pasteurised too) and I tried it last weekend and it made my stomach turn, same for melted cheese (which is why I expect I can't stomach pizza!) and I'm STARVING in the day then when it comes to the evening I can't finish a meal or can't even stomach one to begin with! I suspect I've put on more now, bought jeans today the next size up Sad but suppose I should get used to that now! Haribo Tangfastics sounds amazing right about now... Grin x

@stickerth I have no experience with not feeling nauseous as this is my first pregnancy but what I do know is that I had obviously heard of morning sickness but none of my friends have ever told me about nausea during the first trimester before and I think they would have voiced it if they'd felt as rubbish as I do with it. I had read that not everyone gets nausea during pregnancy but over half do, I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry and put extra stress on yourself.
Fingers and toes crossed for you and congratulations Smile

@Merrydoula thanks for sharing your experience! Hopefully I'll be able to lose the weight just as quickly after birth! Adjusting to letting go of your pre-pregnancy body is so tough! X
