Line progression - but bleeding?!

Hi everyone,

I have attached a pic of my line progression this week as well as a FRER taken on Monday when AF was due. My question is this: I understand line progression is obviously a good thing but is it still likely a chemical pregnancy can be taking place/going to take place?

I have been spotting light pink blood when I go to the loo for over a week. GP says there’s nothing that can be done until I’m 6/7 weeks and I can have an early scan. I’m totally loosing the plot..!!

Thanks for listening! Smile

@Jdec I can't offer any advice, but I'm experiencing exactly the same thing. I'm 6 weeks today and had tiny amounts of pink spotting from about 4 and a half weeks to about 5 and a half weeks. I've had some cramps, but nothing major and only what I believe to be normal cramps, rather than anything indicative of a problem.

I'm going to try to hold out to eight weeks then get a private scan just to make sure everything's ok. I had a MC last year which turned out to be a blighted ovum and I'm terrified of the scan and having the same thing happen again.

I hope everything works out ok for you, OP.

I’m so sorry to hear about your tough time, I’ll keep everything crossed that it all works out for you!!
Can you not go for a scan now? My GP said she will refer me as soon as I get to 6 weeks because then they can see something?

Thank you @Jdec. I could go for a scan now but I thought if I can wait til 8 weeks then there can be no doubt about dates and there should def be a heartbeat if everything is ok.
If I go now, at six weeks, there might be no heartbeat but that could be down to it not being far enough along, rather than because there's a problem if you see what I mean.

If it's any comfort, there are loads of ladies on here who have had pink spotting and have gone on to have successful pregnancies (me included; I had spotting when pregnant with my son) so I'm sure it's likely that everything will turn out fine for you. Thanks

Yeah I totally get what you mean, we’ve said we will try and wait as long as possible but I know I will end up calling at 6 weeks to go in haha!

Thanks for that, I have seen a lot of encouraging threads and mentions of spotting. I think I am just fearful of a chemical pregnancy at this point, I’m hoping I can rule it out with darkening lines on my tests!
Let us know how your scan goes and I hope it’s all okay Grin
