Detailed scan after CVS

At my initial scan, the midwife wasn't able to get the measurements of the baby as it kept moving. I then had to wait until I was 15 weeks (i think?) to have my bloods taken to test only for Downs. A few days later my results came back that I had a 1:5 odds (based on blood alone).

I then had a CVS at 16 weeks (they measured the NT here as well and it was 3.1). Which (after a horrendous wait) we were told it was negative for Downs, Edwards and Patau, and everything was fine.

A couple of days later the midwife (who gave me the original 1:5 odds) called to say that I needed to come in to have an 'detailed scan' (this wasn't scheduled). She said that they do this after CVS and also because my original blood results put me in the higher risk category...I am still waiting to hear when I will be able to have this scan...

The issue is, I started to calm down after the negative CVS result and believed perhaps the worst is behind us, however now I am worried that my blood results highlight a more serious issue(?) (I don't know my blood work figures, as they didn't leave this information with me.

What I am hoping for is that there is someone else out there who was told that they needed to have a 'detailed scan' after a CVS - is this normal practice? What could it be that they are looking for?

Sorry for the long post - I guess this is a bit like therapy!
