Pre eclampsia?

Hi all, I had my 12 week scan the other day then went on to the antenatal clinic. They went though my health notes and asked about family health too. One question was about pre eclampsia and I told them my mother had it when she was in labour with me. They've gave me aspirin to take every day until full term, says it reduces the risk.
Has anyone else had this?

Hi I developed eclampsia with no symptoms, but they told me if I was to become pregnant again, I would have to take aspirin... Can't remember if it was daily. Congratulations and good luck x

Yes, very common for those with an increased risk of pre-eclampsia- I was on it as I was having twins. Still ended up with high protein in my urine and high BP but had a cs before it turned into pre-eclampsia for other reasons.

I had preeclampsia with my last pregnancy so I'm taking aspirins in this pregnancy to reduce the risk of me getting it again xx

Yes I had it in my last pregnancy with twins and ended up with pre eclampsia, I'm now pregnant with a single baby and having to take it daily again.

Perfectly standard.

Yes I took it every day with DD2 until I was 36 weeks pregnant
