Over due and just about to have the sweep

Hello I have finally managed to persuade my midwife to give me a sweep...
Just about to have it at 11:50..
Was just wondering what to do after? Anything to help bring anything on I'm currently overdue was due on the 02/02/19.
Any help will be appreciated thank you.

I had a sweep at 39 + 1 and literally done everything, sex, walked, birthing ball, spicy curry, raspberry leaf tea and had some pineapple and nothing worked for me!! However as you are further on your cervix is probably more ready than what mine was so I’d try out what you can, especially sex ASAP and walking! Good luck X

I had a sweep at 41w and found it extremely painful and it didn’t do anything. Took another 4 days for my DD to make her appearance. Currently pregnant with DC2 and I will be declining all offers of sweeps.

Had a failed sweep today. 40+4. My cervix was firmly closed. No chance. 😕
