Hi
Had my 28 week appointment today and midwife mentioned I had protein in my wee. My blood pressure was fine- low if anything- and I’ve not had any other symptoms of preeclampsia. Feet and knees swollen tonight but I’ve been on my feet a lot. I’m aware it could be discharge etc, but talk to me about worst case. What am I looking for? Has anyone been in this situation where they were told it’s probably fine and then if not been? Feeling a bit anxious tonight.

Thanks

If it’s just a trace most folk have this, pregnant or not.

I had protein levels of 270 and they worry about anything over 30! I was in for 3 days being monitored for pre-eclampsia but blood pressure was fine and it was caused by a UTI.
A lot of pregnant women have a trace of protein and as long as your blood pressure is ok, I wouldn't worry. I would keep a close eye on any other symptoms such as a headache or vision changes but protein alone isn't cause for concern.
