My current situation is i’m 7+3 and on a combination of ondanestron and cyclizine to combat the horrendous HG I had in my previous 2 pregnancies. I had an awful week last week and after seeing my GP several times the tablet combo seems to be working and today I actually feel half human again. One thing that worries me is that that GP said to try not to take the tablets unless I have to - how will I know? At the moment I know that if I don’t take them I feel horrendous - I can’t go there again!! I’d prefer not to have to take any medication but I just couldn’t function without it.

Another thing is that even when on the tablets I start to feel nauseous if I haven’t eaten recently - I’m constantly snacking.
Is anyone else in the same boat as me?

I’m 11 weeks now and feeling slightly more human, but I’ve been signed off work since week 6. This is my 2nd pregnancy and has been worse than the 1st one. I have been able to mostly stop the medication now, but I still have to constantly eat to stop the constant nausea feeling.

I have to go out this afternoon and I’m nervous about feeling sick while I’m there.

It has really affected me mentally, there have been days where I’ve just sat and cried because it feels never ending and I don’t know how to get through it. I don’t feel any bond with the baby at all.

I can’t go into the kitchen as the smell of washing up liquid and washing powder makes me sick. Thankfully my DH has been doing everything for me.

I’m supposed to go back to work on Monday, but I can’t see it happening Sad

Hope you start to feel better soon

I hope you feel better soon too. The good news for me is that although in my previous 2 pregnancies I was sick throughout the whole pregnancy it does get easier after about 12 weeks.

It’s so debilitating, I said to my husband this morning that I feel happy today and I haven’t felt happy for about 2 weeks. He was quite upset but he knows how hard this is for me.

Don’t get me wrong I am excited about a new baby I just think why me? So many women have no symptoms at all!
