Measuring 29 weeks at 25w5

I’m hopefully worrying over nothing as it literally says on the midwife’s chart plotting growth ‘a first measurement above the 90th percentile is NOT (their emphasis) an indicator for a growth scan’ and that it would only be at subsequent measurements, my next being at 28 weeks (3 weeks today). But my X on the graph is SO far above the top line/95th centile that I can’t help but feel a bit concerned! Please reassure me these measurements are wildly inaccurate! 😬😂

They’re wildly inaccurate. In my last pregnancy I was always 6/8cm/weeks ahead and I think I’m going to be the same this time.

If you measure big twice they’ll prob offer a growth scan, but measuring is so unreliable that some areas don’t do it at all.

My first pregnancy was an average sized baby, no extra fluid and no other concerns. But I remained measurig massive.

Thank you, that’s reassuring.

My first measured ahead similar to yours, he was just a big baby 9lb 6 born at 38 weeks, but happy and healthy Smile currently expecting number 2 and measuring big again but I know not to worry now and if he decides to come at 38 weeks like my last I'l only be delighted not to have to go through the last few weeks !
