Bleeding in Early Pregnancy

Morning

Am (according to scans) 8 weeks pregnant today. First time.
Since 5 weeks I’ve been having bleeds. 3 weeks ago and yesterday there was (probs TMI) very heavy gushing red blood for about an hour including clots which then suddenly stopped. In between it’s been mainly brown or translucent red.

At 5+1 scan they saw YS and a small inferior bleed.
At 7+1 they saw a heartbeat. Bleed still present but said was expected progress etc. Now have to wait til Friday 8+3 for scan following yesterday’s episode. I’m just really stressed/worried/struggling with the uncertainty. It’s an emotional rollercoaster that I am just not equipped for. Any other experiences like this?

Sorry to hear about your ordeal. I know what it feels like, I have had bleeds in both pregnancies and it really is very tough. This second time I made it to week 13 and everything is going well so far, so there is hope! There is no magic formula to make you stop worrying, but just know that bleeding seems to be much more common than most of us thought at first.

I teach and it’s making it very difficult to perform and be happy in front of a class.

It happened at work yesterday and bless my management they drove me to the EPAU themselves dropping everything. I guess I just have to keep my fingers crossed.

I can imagine, it was during the Christmas holidays for me so at least I didn't have to see/talk to anyone!
