Ring the midwife or not?

Need to advice / guidance.
Had a couple of scares with reduced movements (movements fine currently) but I'm under extra monitoring due to high blood pressure and protein in the urine. My consultant reckons I have mild pre eclampsia.
I went to the midwife Friday to have my blood pressure and urine tested - no protein this time and my blood pressure had returned to a normal level.
However from yesterday Iv been feeling really dizzy and had a pressure kind of headache which hasn't gone with paracetamol. And last night I had pains on my right side under my ribs (only lasted 20 mins then went)
Should I phone the midwife or just ride it out until I next see them which is Thursday?
Thank you in advance 😊 x

Ring.

Itwillallbegood · 04/02/2019 19:09

Phone. Definitely. No midwife will ever be sorry they saw a pregnant lady when all was well.

Everyone will say (quite rightly)
Don't take risks with your baby
If you have a concern use what the service is for
No harm in asking for proper advice from a trained professional

Absolutely phone!!!

I'd ring. The rib thing I wouldn't worry about on its own but you really need to be seen for the headache.

MyKingdomForBrie · 04/02/2019 19:11

Absolutely call. ASAP. Probably fine but you don't mess with pre eclampsia!

Definitely get seen. I had similar symptoms and went in one evening even though I had an appt the next morning. My BP was through the roof. Just got some meds and all was ok. It is not worth the risk and headache is a prime symptom of high BP. I ended up with preeclampsia and an induction at 39 weeks having first developed high BP and traces of protein at 36 weeks. Good luck!

I'm glad everything's ok..
How far along are you?
Yes plenty of rest

s888 · 05/02/2019 13:38

@Bigonesmallone3 I'm 33weeks +5.
I'm just relieved baby is ok. I don't mind feeling horrid as long as she is fine 😊. Are you expecting?
