Cervical length scan

I need a cervical length scan due to previous surgery. Has anyone had one, and if so, can you tell me roughly when they did it?

I’m a bit worried, as my dr/surgeon previously told me this could be an issue. Will they only measure once, or check again later in the pregnancy too?

My hospital run an answerphone service to book your scan (you leave a message then they call you back to book). I called a week ago but no follow up yet so calling again today.

Anything else I should know?

It's great that they are doing a Cervical length scan presumably because you have had a Lletz procedure or similar?

Chase it up and get yourself booked in. It's an internal examination and depending on where you are in pregnancy they will know what length they'd like your cervix to be. Your cervix May be shorter due to previous surgery which is why they're keeping an eye on you. I wish my hospital had done the same.

Wishing you luck x

I had 3 scans to check my cervix. My first One was at 16 weeks, 20 week scan and then just before 24 weeks.
I would defiently ring up and chase your appointment.
Fingers crossed you get your date soon.

I had a cervical length scan at 13 weeks as I knew I needed a cerclage. Some people don't have them until a little later though, as PP has said.

Mine was done earlier because I already had an extremely premature baby.
