I've read different things about hot baths now I'm confused currently sat in a Luke warm bath dying for some heat😂Grin can I have a hot bath aslong as it's not making my skin red or making me sweat? Help lol

I had a few warm - hot baths as I'm such a cold person. I think they say as the water cools quickly it's not as bad as a jacuzzi or anything. If you start feeling too hot that that's an indication to get out. I've also heard a maximum of 20 mins.
With saying all this I was fine and had a perfectly fine 12 week scan a couple weeks back! Enjoy your bath!

@Squeakybubbles26 thank you! I think I'm over paranoid since I had a mc in October but I will definitely enjoy my baths now lol x

With both of my previous pregnancies I stuck to my hot baths. I can't bare to sit in just a warm bath, aslong as your comfortable you'll be fine. Don't make yourself sweat.

I am 9 weeks and have also been having warm baths. Not the scorching hot ones I would have had before, but in this freezing weather I just can’t not. Apparently anything under 37 degrees is fine, I haven’t got a thermometer though so I just estimate and stick to warm rather than hot-hot. Nothing worse than a tepid warm bath

I had hot baths all through my pregnancy. My 3 month old seems perfectly healthy.

ChrisPrattsFace · 03/02/2019 21:55

I had measured the temp of my baths to get them 37’c and Jesus Lord they were cold.
I really miss my baths but I’ve been too scared....

Wedgiecar58 · 03/02/2019 22:12

@ChrisPrattsFace Oh that worries me slightly as my “warm” baths are what some would consider hot.

ImMeantToBeWorking · 03/02/2019 22:15

I had a like warm bath today too. Not sure if I am pregnant (on TWW) but wasn't taking any chances.

ChrisPrattsFace · 03/02/2019 23:22

I usually have very hot baths. DH wouldn’t be able to get into, and makes my skin red.
That’s why I checked the temperature out or curiosity, it’s been showers for me so far!

I’ve had lots of hot baths through out the pregnancy - infact more than pre preg - soon as I feel myself getting too hot I just get out

Tobebythesea · 05/02/2019 08:01

Pre-pregnancy I loved hot hot baths where I went red but I’m just too scared now. I tried a warm bath the other day and it was freezing.

This is my second pregnancy and I know it sounds weird but with both pregnancies my temperature sensitivity dramatically decreases. So I could put my foot under an extremely hot tap and it feels cold although I know it isn’t.
