Hi everyone,
Wasn't sure if there was a pregnancy after mc thread as I can't seem to find it as would be good to hear from ladies who have gone through this particularly those who are now taking baby aspirin but all advice is appreciated.
I have had two early losses and planned to get investigations done privately (didn't want to wait for a third) but fell pregnant again. I don't fall pregnant easily but I think this time agnus castus helped which i stopped around 12weeks.
I read a lot about baby aspirin for mc prevention so took 75mg that from bfp.
I am now spotting at 15 weeks, have had an internal and ultrasound, baby is fine and they can't find a reason for the bleeding -they cannot see the placenta properly at this stage but are saying it doesn't look low lying. Cervix looks fine and is closed but they have diagnosed me as having 'threatened miscarriage'. I am wondering if the aspirin is causing this, although I would have expected this earlier on if it was the aspirin?
Anyway I am not sure what to do, my immediate thought was to stop the aspirin but I can't help but feel it's the aspirin that's got me this far. I have not been tested for 'sticky' blood etc but read it would help with prevention even if not suffering from sticky blood.
But anyway I am thinking of either taking it every other day or splitting the tablet in half, so it's still in my system but at a lower dose, what are your thoughts on this -every other day or split tablet in half?
I have also read spotting could be due to low progesterone so have ordered a kit to check this and will ask for oral progesterone too if I need it.
Doctors haven't mentioned anything on progesterone and have muttered it could be aspirin but nothing certain and haven't told me to stop.
I know a lot of people will say spotting in pregnancy is normal but I don't believe it's normal for me and with the two previous losses bleeding is usually bad news for me so just want to throw anything I can at it and if I do still go on to lose it at least I've tried everything I can.
Sorry for the long post, I really appreciate your time and any advice you may have x
