Hi!

Just need some advice really. I'm 3/4 weeks pregnant and elated. Very nervous to get to the scan and naturally a worrier but trying to keep positive. Only thing is I keep having a very "wet" feeling down below that keeps making me nervous that I'm bleeding. I haven't so far and have read discharge is very normal during pregnancy.

But has anyone else experienced this constant wet feeling down there? - sorry I know it's not the nicest thing to ask!

Yeah it's normal. Pregnancy creates extra discharge. 30 weeks and still have lots of it. Nothing to worry about unless it's accompanied by itchiness, strange colour or smell. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Yup totally normal as long as there's no mucus/bleeding/pain! You're probably more aware of it as you're nervously waiting first scan. I constantly had my hands in my pants for the first 12 weeks 🙈 now 33+2. Good luck OP x

Thank you @Lizbiz89 and @CaseofEllen that's really helpful! I'm glad it's not just me constantly checking! I'm getting twinges and cramps but been told that's a good doing of the egg getting comfy in there or something? It's basically uncomfortable! I do get sharp little twinges at times but not constant. Is that normal also?

TMI again but I'm a complete wind bag also ha!

@mass22 I had little cramps in my lower tummy/hips early on too and it was nothing to worry about. If you are worried something is wrong then contact GP as better to be safe than sorry! The wind probably won't go I'm afraid 😂 x

Wind and bloating will be a continuous friend I'm afraid. Constipation is another one that likes to sneak up on you as well! All for a good cause though 😊. This is my second so you'd think I should be used to it by now! Like PP said though if you feel anything is wrong go and see your GP. Good luck

Thank you again @CaseofEllen it's very reassuring hearing it's not just me! I think I'm experiencing very normal symptoms, I'm just very anxious and over thinking everything. Need to try and stay positive and patient. It's very difficult. Haha oh god I'll just start getting used to being a ball of gas then hehe .

Congratulations @CaseofEllen and @Lizbiz89 on your pregnancies it's so wonderfully exciting!

Mention the discharge to your midwife at your booking appointment. Hopefully they will do a swab. I had the same and turns out I have group B strep so will need antibiotics in labour to protect baby.
