Needing some positivity..

I came into day unit on Tuesday with symptoms of pre eclampsia. I'm currently 32 + 5 and have had really high blood pressure. I was kept in overnight on Tuesday.. & told I'd likely go home Wednesday but I'm still here due to blood pressure up and down. I'm on medication to control it but just wondering if anyone else has been in the same situation? I feel fine in myself but really starting to fret that I'm going to be here until I'm full term Confused any advice?

They are sending me for a growth scan and all my bloods have come back clear....

Any positivity or help would be nice Smile xxx

Have they checked your urine for protein? I was kept in for 3 days for ridiculously high protein levels even though blood pressure was fine every time and I had 4 hourly monitoring.
My bloods were fine, the scan was fine and in the end they were happy to attribute the protein to a UTI.
It's a pain but you are in the best place and it's a good sign your bloods were ok.

Thank you so much @TinyMarie that's so kind of you to reply!
I have had urine tested and there have been traces of protein but bloods all came back normal. Docs have said possibly home tomorrow if meds work how they should overnight - but I can't help but just feel like I'm going to be in here until delivery lol! SadI guess I just have to sit tight and keep my fingers crossed xx

I know, I was worried I wouldn't be able to leave either but they said they just have to be extremely cautious when it comes to pre-eclampsia.
A slight protein trace is normal in pregnant women and was told it's fine as long as it's below 30 (mine was 270! Shock)
Some people's blood pressure can be a bit erratic anyway so hopefully they'll get it under control and you can leave. Good luck! Smile x

I had pre eclampsia from 32 weeks with high bp and odema. In those days they didnt treat the high bp. I was in hospital until 37 weeks went my bp shot up higher and i started to get protein in my urine as well.
I was induced and ds was born 2 days later. He is 23 now and no effects from the PE.
Dd was born exactly 2 years later at 37 weeks, no PE

I was in the same situation. When it was just high blood pressure they'd keep me in if it went over 150/100. Anything less was just medicated. Once they got it under control I was allowed to go home (until it went back up!). They did induce early, however, once it turned into pre eclampsia. I believe the protocol is to keep you in until 37 weeks if you have pre eclampsia (and keep monitoring of course) because the situation can change very very quickly and they need to pick it up and deliver if necessary. If you develop pre eclampsia after 37 weeks they induce/c section depending on how severe it is.
