Hello, I'm 19 weeks and have recently started having a few episodes where I'm going very faint, shaky and vision closing in. I'm already taking iron supplements and blood pressure is fine. Anyone experienced this as to what it may be and if anything helped? I just always presumed fainting was low iron or low blood pressure but because both of these are either okay or being treated I'm a bit confused why I'm suddenly feeling like this? Thanks all

I nearly fainted last st, at church. Ended up lying on the floor in front of the pew. Nobody said anything...

I had chocolate after breakfast - my body isn’t good at doing sweet things until breakfast has thoroughly digested, so it was a very silly thing for me to do.

So I put it down to a blood sugar thing. Maybe you need to work to keep yours steadier...

I'm 20 weeks and I get this occasionally, sometimes I feel as though I'm going to keel over.. I have a naturally low bloody pressure so I always assumed that was it..

Il be watching out for any other suggestions

Thanks @Spargle I hadn't thought about sugar. I had a bowl of cereal for breakfast that morning which is quite normal for me but maybe something is changing in my body. Will keep an eye on what I'm eating and see if any pattern

Yes. Normally I wouldn’t expect to have any problems at all with sugar at breakfast time, but this pregnancy has made me reconsider! I’m hoping things will go back to normal once the baby’s born (I could still do sugar at breakfast at Christmas, so this is very much a recent thing! I’m 20w, btw)

Hi I'm 26 weeks and have been fainting throughout my pregnancy, when I go to get checked everything is always fine and they just say its probably my blood pressure dropping. Iv been told it's pretty common in pregnancy and my midwife has suggested I carry around glucose tablets like the lucozade ones for when I start to feel a little fuzzy!
