I'm going crazy!

So this is my first pregnancy and I'm 8 weeks. I first tested 4 weeks ago where I had 2 strong lines and a clear blue test which showed 3+ weeks.

I originally had sore boobs and a bit of queasiness but this has stopped this last week or so. I thought I'd do another test to give me some reassurance and what do I get...a very faint line! I rushed out and bought another CB test and that is still showing 3+ weeks.

I know it says water etc could affect it but surely the line shouldn't get that much fainter 4 weeks later!? The hormone level should have increased a lot since then?

Please someone tell me this is ok as I am going crazy googling and all I can see is about chemical miscarriages :(

I’m not an expert on this but I’m sure CB tests can only give a max reading of 3+ Weeks which technically means you’re atleast 5 weeks+. Mine did this and I was confused why it still said 3+ but realised they only do 1-2 weeks or 3+ Weeks.

Symptoms etc can reduce or increase frequently too, if you’re approx 8 weeks have you spoken to your GP or seen a midwife yet? They usually recommend getting in touch between 6-8 weeks of pregnancy.

Hope this helps & I know it’s easy to say but try to not to worry so much! Flowers

I know, thank you. It's so hard not to obsess over everything! I'm thinking of going for an early scan tomorrow just to put my mind at ease. The faint line and the lack of symptoms has just really panicked me!

I agree you just want everything to be okay & run as smoothly as possible. It’s a worrying time, I’d definitely look at a private scan if you feel that would help - group on etc tend to have good offers on locally. I know the one near me is only £60 and it’s an extra chance to see the LO after all!

I’m not sure about the faint line, did you take the test late tonight? Mine was a lot darker in the morning when I did the tests originally. Although I’m sure I read it doesn’t matter what time you take the tests apparently Hmm so I’m not sure.

As I say with the symptoms I’ve seen a few ladies ask this question on here and it does seem to be normal particularly sore/tender boobs and nausea. I’d just keep a check of other symptoms I.e if you notice any bleeding or spotting.

Good luck anyway OP Smile
