I'm so uncomfortable. 32 weeks now and can't find any position to sleep in the doesn't hurt. Sleeping on my back and front is out, which only leaves my side. I've tried putting a cushion between my legs but it's the side that's on the mattress that's hurting. I don't want to take paracetamol just to sleep (but will if needs be) any tips?

Can you shift forwards, so you are more resting on the front of the hip, by pulling the top leg over? Like the woman on the far left of this picture. Have a pillow under the knee you have brought over so you aren't twisting your back.

I’m 41+6 and totally understand.

What has helped me is sleeping on a spare doubled over double duvet. It’s not totally cured my pain but it makes it more bearable.

It’s horrid.
I ended up with a cushion between my knees. One under my bump and dh used to push one into the small of my back for me. Kind of tucked under my hip and into my back.

I’m finding a slight lean forward so bump is resting on body pillow is helping hip pain although I’m getting hip pain on the upper outer leg/hip not bottom one if that makes sense

I'm exactly the same. I haven't found anything that works yet but my left hip was on agony all day this week because of how I slept. I took 2 paracetamol before bed and slept the best I have in months! Didn't even wake up for a wee! Shock I might just do that again when it's really bad rather than suffer for the next 7 weeks.

Thanks for the tips ladies. I'll try a doubled over quilt under me tonight!

I find a pillow between my legs makes my hip hurt but lying with one leg straight and the other over the pillow and resting more on the front of my hip (as pp described) is absolutely fine.

I had this awfully in my last pregnancy - if you can, get the thickest mattress topper you can (or fold a duvet under the sheet as above!) and agree with pillow between the knees and roll so your bump is resting on the mattress.

I’m 24 weeks now and ok at the moment (it kicked in at 22 weeks last time). Every niggle I think it’s coming back!
