Baby movements

Hi, I'm hoping you can help me with some advice about movement, I'm nearly 33 weeks and have had only sporadic movements no real consistent pattern throughout.

Last week having had 4 hours without any significant movement I did as advised and called the ANU and they had me straight in for monitoring and luckily all was good, little bugger decided within minutes of being hooked up to show off his somersault abilities.

I've since had a check up scan and again all was ok but my question is do any of yiur babies have quiet and manic days as this is what mine does, 2 days frantic then a day moving but not all arms and legs like pevious days.

Thanks in advance

Mine has quiet days. Probably every third day. But it's a pattern, and that's all you're looking for.

I’m 33 weeks too and I also have the odd quieter day. It used to panic me and I would phone the hospital but I’ve now just accepted it as being part of his pattern. I still feel him frequently but it’s just the movements themselves that are different rather than the frequency, some days I get little nudges etc rather than huge movements and I think it can depend on his position at the time. Always phone to get checked if you’re ever unsure x

Thanks, it's so hard to know what is a pattern, he is so erratic. Last 2 days literally arms and legs everywhere and today much more subtle movements not huge digs.

But as I type he is doing subtle kicks, I don't want to be that nervous nellie who isbultra paranoid but i also don't want ti miss something!

Pregnancy is not easy is it!

Mine is the very same, some days loads of movement, some days nothing. But it's just the way he is positioned and facing. Had a scan last week and he was moving arms and legs around but I couldn't feel any of it!

I had the same. Towards the end of my pregnancy my baby kicked less. I got told that the baby should kick more and they should never slow down. But mine did, my baby only kicked when I sat down for long periods of time other than that she barely moved, she never moved at night time. I think everyone's just different and if you know a pattern when your baby kicks and when it doesn't then it's fine. I think when it's more than a day or a few days and you don't feel anything to contact the midwife. I think I did once when I didn't feel my baby for a day but everything was fine
